[2003]¶
Insurgents Technical¶

The technical is also done. Into the rust areas I stippled metall to represent fresher scratches. I painted the windows the same way as for the Humvees (after all, they will be chasing each other in the same environment). Need to get some crew members for the AA...

Speaking of the AA, I dd not glue it in place, its pin is deep enough to keep the weapon in place, if the model is turned upside down.

[2003]¶
Insurgents Technical¶

I sprayed the technical first in metallic, then red and finally in white on the lower part, using a piece of card as a mask.

After the salt was rubbed of and the model rinsed, I used Secret Weapon Washes soft body black in the recesses.

Insurgents Technical¶

This model was sitting on my table for some time with a rust undercoat. While working on my Dreadball boards today, I also salted this pick up. Tomorrow will follow the paint job.

[2003]¶
Insurgents¶

I forced myself to bring the painting of this group of models to an end this weekend, so here is the last batch.

Took long enough...

[2003]¶
Insurgents¶

Next batch is done.

[2003]¶
Insurgents¶

I finished two more batches of insurgets.

The first group is, at leat partially, wearing camouflage uniforms.

The second batch was painted mostly with washes.

[2003]¶
Insurgents¶

First group is done.

They all have blue trousers, but even they received different washes/decorations, all other clothing is different. I aim to get no duplicates with these to emphasize the irregular aspect of them.

[2003]¶
Insurgents¶

Ready based and primed - awaiting some colour.

As a last thought before priming, I removed the cargo pockets of about 1/4 - 1/3 of the model's pants, these will be painted as 'civilian' clothing.

Example:

[2003]¶
Insurgents¶

I cleaned all miniatures of flash and glued them to their bases.

Next step is to make the bases nice by hiding the integral bases of the minis. Then they are ready to be painted,

[2003]¶
Insurgents¶

I started to de-flash insurgents from Rebel Miniatures.
