The chipping medium worked quite well...

...a little bit of harsh treatment with a brush and the red came off, revealing the metal/rust I painted below.

I then bloddied Ash, applying SWW024 Drying Blood and SWW025 Just Red. In hindsight, it was not a good idea to paint the chainsaw in red, as the blood on the saw is hardly noticable against the saw's own colour...

The black leather parts were drybrushed 70.989 Sky Grey, any buckles etc painted in 71.063 Silver; then both black and silver washed twice with SWW010 Dark Sepia. The hair was drybrushed 70.989 Sky Grey, then washed in SWW013 Algae. The boots were drybrushed in 70.989 Sky Grey.
