An der Fähre Village Guard Reinforcements¶

The command group of the More Halberdiers project had two halberdiers in excess, which I planned to use to fill out the An der Fähre Village Guard unit, which is currently two men short.

I removed the feathers from their helmet, as no other model in the unit has them. The small dent in the helmet I filled with Miliput.

Knights of the Hawkbit¶

The riders are done. Whether to add more decoration or not I will decide once they are mounted.

[Song of Fork and Heroes]¶
Mythical Agyptian Axemen¶

The base colours are all applied, colours are the same as with the bowmen.

Mythical Agyptian Axemen¶

Having finished the Bowmen, the Axemen are next. I started by basecoating them in Vallejo grey primer.

More Halberdiers¶

There is still an allowance of 30 more Halberdiers in the Oldworlder Ally Contingent. When I ordered the last time with Black Tree Design, the order took several months. The guy from customer support did a great job, was very friendly and helpful, and in the end asked for a couple of packs they would choose some from for an apology - I received all I mentioned. Very nice.

So these models will be painted up as Bretonnian Halberdiers. The command groups I ordered from Mirliton. The result will be two units of 15, which will together with the 20 An der Fähre Village Guard be the 50 allowed by Warhammer Armies.

Mythical Agyptian Axemen¶

Planning to do a lot of painting next week (I have the week off work), I prepared another pack of Foundry Miniatures.

[Terrain]¶
Modular Fence System¶

Just in time for the year end - done :-)

I covered all the green area thickly in grass. To stop the constant rain of blades of grass, I flooded the grass areas with wall paint primer. This hardens them and acts kind of like a glue that soaks into the greenery.

As a final step, I added some creepers to a couple of sections.

And here they are done, in their storage box, and a couple set up as an example.

[Warfork Fantasy Battles]¶
Knights of the Hawkbit¶

I do not like flat backsides of shields, except they are meant to be full metal shields. These look more like wooden shields to me, with some kind of front coverage. So I always ponder with these kind of shields whether to paint the backside in detailed way, after all, in the end you won't see it anyway when looking at the model. But I always end up doing it anyway, because I would know it...

So a light brown base coat, wood grain in two darker browns, and plank lines in a very dark brown later, the backsides of the shields are done.
