[Dreadball]¶
Lumber Rodents¶

Next project is my third Dreadball team - the Veer-myn.

For them I decided on a painting technique I wanted to try for a long time: pre-shading.

I will try to build up the shadows with grey tones, and then apply only inks and washes to colour the models, leaving the pre-shading showing through. Let's see how this will turn out...

I started by applying a base coat of Vallejo 71.097 Base Grey with my airbrush, followed by a wash of 1/2 water and 1/2 Vallejo 72.094 Black.

When this was dry, I started by drybrushing 72.050 Cold Grey.

This was all for now, but will be followed by 3 more drybrushing stages.

[Kickstarter]¶
Mars Attacks - The Miniatures Game¶

I knew I would not be able to resist as soon as I saw the first announcements... Just pledged for yet another Kickstarter...

[Deathball]¶
Gaming Board¶

I own the wood playing board for Dreadball, which still awaits painting. I want to do a run down arena, with a lot of rust. Here is my first test piece, where I gave the salt method my first try.

I sprayed the piece Vallejo Air Model Rust. Then I applied water in selected spots and sprinkled salt over it. This was left to dry.

I sprayed two coats of silver, Vallejo Air Gun Grey and then a lighter code of Vallejo Steel.

The last step was to rubb off the salt.

I am quite please with the result, the final piece needs to be more detailed, with field markings etc. painted on, but the rust effect is very good I think.

[Dreadball]¶
Tooth Crushers¶

I finished the last three Orx:

Now all I need to do is add the numerical decals to all the team's backplates and the second team ist done.

[Dreadball]¶
Tooth Crushers¶

I finished the last two Goblins.

Now only three Moore Orx.

[Dreadball]¶
Tooth Crushers¶

Today I managed to paint two more Goblins - I hope I can keep up that momentum...

Tooth Crushers¶

Finally I managed to find some more painting time, and finished two Goblins.

[Kickstarter]¶
Maki Games¶

I was tempted by this the first time I saw it... and resisted... now, two hours before the end of the KS campaign, I succumbed to my wargaming desires...

At least this will not add to my pile of unpainted lead ... ;-)

[Kickstarter]¶
Empress Miniatures¶

Well, I have not made any progress with my Dreadball Orx, but that of course does not stop me from looking for new projects - which will probably just add to the pile of unpainted lead, but I guess you know what I am talking about...

Thanks to the announcement on theminiaturespage.com, I could not resist 20 US Marines with boonie hats in contemporary equipment... Empress Miniatures 'Devil Dogs And Dragons' 28mm Figures .

As the project collected 5,000£ of the needed 7,500£ within 1.5 days, I think it will get certainly funded and I hope for a lot of stretch goals... which are automatically covered by my pledge level :-)
