The models are all cleaned, armed with spears, glued to their bases and their integral bases bevelled to the metal base with filler.

Mythical Agyptian Spearmen¶

The last models of human infantry are spearmen. I have two packs as I wanted to have both the bareheaded and the ones with hats - as you cannot buy these models individually, I have to paint 16 of 'em.

I started to clean the models of flash and glue them to their metal bases.

[Song of Fork and Heroes]¶
Mythical Agyptian Infantry¶

The models are done, basically painted to the same finish as the axe men.

[Song of Fork and Heroes]¶
Mythical Agyptian Giant Scorpion¶

After painting the horns, spikes, whatever, I gloss coated the model, then applied a black oil wash to the body, anx a brown oil wash to the armour.

Done.

Mythical Agyptian Infantry¶

Weapons, backside of shields, skin, eyes and hair are done.

Mythical Agyptian Giant Scorpion¶

The base colour for the scorpion is Flat Brown from Vallejo. When I thought about painting the model, black came to my mind first. After googling I was happy to see, that scorpions do exist in a variety of colours, as black would have looked quite drab.

Brown it is. I basecoated the model in a mix of Flat Brown and black.

Next came Flat Brown, leaving the darker colour in the recesses only.

Highlights were added with Cavalry Brown and finally Deck Tan. The horns and claws were basecoated in Cavalry Brown as well.
