Corporate Marines¶

The Marines are done. The guy with the first aid case will be part of the command group, the casualty with the bleeding arm and the guy with the ammo case will bring the second squad to full strength. The two SAW gunners will go to the pool of support weapons.

Time to close this project. I started by painting the interior of the cabins.

[15mm]¶
Corporate Marines¶

Today I primed the cabin insides in 73.601 Grey Surface Primer through my airbrush. When the inside is painted, I will seal the openings with tape and glue the cabins to the hulls - the outside will then be painted with the rest of the VTOLs.

Tobias printed the cabins. Thanks!

Squat Stunty Scout¶

The Scout is done. I tried again to stick to the original description of Squats colourwise:

Squats prefer muted colours reminiscent of the rocks and sands of their Home Worlds: browns, greys and green are popular in varying shades and mixtures, as are black, white and deep red - it is common for seams and piping to be picked out in a contrasting colour.

A chance find recently on ebay, this lovely little one just had to be bought :-) A blast from the past.

He will support my Brotherhood sappers I finished recently.

Imperial Flush Space Marines¶

Here are the models in their current state deployed in formation. The extra four models are replacement weapons for the support weapons in the fire teams, regulating firepower depending on mission requirements.

Still to do:

  • static grass for the bases
  • replace the flimsy, broken plastic rods with metal rods
  • create and paint the back banners
  • create the decals for the shoulder pads. I don't want to paint the chapter icon on all these models as a free hand design...

Thanks to Tobias I have my prototpye. It fits well onto he model :-)

With the basic form confirmed, I added some more details. On the front wall I added a bench with 5 seats. This will be quite cramped, but this is a military vehicle after all and no luxury plane.

On the rear side I added a seat for the gunner, and two racks with spare ammo drums for the machine gun.

This is the final version now that I will use with the landers.
