[Tool]¶
Paint Station¶

After the first few days, I heard an ominous creaking sometimes when I moved the fully loaded station - which made me doubt the power of the glue...

So I decided to add some nails to strenghten the integrity of the station. To prevent the MDF from splintering when hammering in the nails, I first drilled holes with a slighlty smaller diameter than the nail.

Now there are no more ominous sounds no more :-)

[Song of Fork and Heroes]¶
Mythical Agyptian Priests¶

Some more mystical elements - well, these are historical figures basically, but to my best knowledge the historical priests were not able to summon demons and awake mummies.

It is one priest and one acolythe, the acolythe will get a pole with the symbol of Nekhebet. The pole supplied had a nice symbol, but not very nekhebetic.

As usual, they are mounted on bases from Products for Wargamers.

[Song of Fork and Heroes]¶
Mythical Agyptian Mummies¶

Some more mystical elements. These Mummies are from Eureka Miniatures. As usual, they are mounted on bases from Products for Wargamers.

[Song of Fork and Heroes]¶
Mythical Agyptian Demons¶

Some more mystical elements. These are demons that will be summoned by the priest during a game. They are from Crocodiles Games' Wargods of Ægyptus Nekharu range. As usual, they are mounted on bases from Products for Wargamers.

The figures are nice, but the amount flash is a bit excessive, and sometimes hard to get at. One figure had a big lump of metal between knee and skirt, so the molds seem to have seen better times as well...

[Tool]¶
Paint Station¶

The paint station I am currently using I build myself some time ago. It includes a build in wet palette, two cup holders (one for non-metallic, one for metallic) and is A4 size.

It served me well so far, but when moving it around, the paints and brushes always were seperate.

This I wanted to change.

After some Googleing I got myself a new paint station from HobbyZone, which arrived today and was quickly assembled.

I made two slight modifications to it, one was to glue felt pads underneath, the other was to drill two small holes which hold paper clips (which I use to un-clog dropper bottles) which fell through all the stock holes.

Ready for action.

[Eclipse]¶
Eridani¶

I painted the eagle (?) iconography in yellow, windows in blue and some parts in metal. Finished for the washing step.

[Song of Fork and Heroes]¶
Mythical Agyptian Spearmen¶

The last four spearmen are done.

Here is the whole group of twelve.

[BattleTech]¶
HOD Marauder II¶

After only four months lying around unattended, I got these two 'Mechs done in one weekend. I finished them last week Saturday just in time for the game on last Sunday. They attended in a glossy finish and without the type tag, the tag and the matt varnish afterwards I did yesterday.

[Warfork Fantasy Battles]¶
Bretonnian Chevaliers Errants¶

The last 'regular' knight of the historical models is done, the next two will be unit champion and standard bearer before moving on to the fantasy style models.

[Eclipse]¶
Planta¶

Finally I am trying to finish these ships. Over a dark green base coat which I forgot to note down the exact colou, I applied several layers of highlights by mixing in more and more of 70.857 Golden Olive.
