Except for the shields, the unit of spearmen is done.

[Warfork Fantasy Battles]¶
Dwarf Reinforcements¶

Today I started to paint the unit banner.

[Birthday Present]¶
Kalweit¶

The Russians are nearly done. The only parts left black are the rain and the horse's lower leg, which I will paint when tackling the horse.

I then started with the Kalweit himself:

    • 70.837 Pale Saand

    • 70.804 Beige Red
    • 72.703 Pale Flesh

Dwarf Reinforcements¶

The spearmen and axemen still need shields. To tie them in more with the GW models, I took the last three unused plastic GW Dwarves I have and made a mould of the shields with Instant Mould, then started to cast them with dental plaster.

[Birthday Present]¶
Kalweit¶

The two Russians are nearly done, only some minor details and the rifle left to be done.

The 2nd group of five models is done:

Nordman Mercenary Journeymen¶

I painted the skin with the same basecoat, but with different highlight colours on these models:

  • 70.872 Chocolate Brown
  • 70.860 Medium Flesh
  • 70.845 Sunny Skintone

With the pelts, I added a small amount of violet for a third colour to the grey and brown.

With the next batch of 5 models, I basically followed the scheme from the first group. To slightly change the appearance (it is neither a uniform for the unit nor industrially manufactured clothes), I added blue to the basecolours of all the stripes.

The shirts I also painted slightly differently, but still using the same main colours as in the first group:
